2004 Hall of Fame Inductees BASEBALL
Ron Gee
Ron Gee, born in Tacoma in September of 1954, played his high school
baseball at Clover Park from 1970-73, earning all-league honors and
playing in the area all-star game as a senior. He also played for
the Lakewood Rotary summer ball team, including the regional title
teams of 1972 and 1973. Gee earned all-conference honors in his one
season at Green River CC (when the team won the 1975 state community
college title), and also as a senior at Whitworth College in Spokane
in 1977. Baseball provided the venue for his participation in tours
to the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Canada, Taiwan, Japan and the
Philippines. An outstanding centerfielder, Gee has stayed involved
in the game as a player since his college days. His recent teams
included the Tacoma Lookouts, Cardinals and Aztex, and he currently
plays for the Tacoma Wizards. Gee has coached baseball at one level
or another since 1977. He remains the coach at Bellarmine Prep,
where he started in 1988.
